Raleigh NC Wake Health Services plans to build a sizable new health center in Southeast Raleigh NC.  Doubling the nonprofits capacity for patients in a part of the city where community leaders have long asked for better access to medical care.  The group has begun work on a $13 million dollar new facility on  Rock Quarry Road in Raleigh.

The health center, a private non profit tries to provide primary-care doctors for people  who may rely on government Medicaid programs.  It relies on federal grants and payments for treatment from Medicare for older people and those with disabilities.

The wake county nonprofit aims to offer medical care to all comers using a sliding-scale to lower costs for people with less money.
