There seems to be a new proliferation of sights that want to tell you about school "ratings." While it's always good to have information of what other parents think of a school that serves an area in which you're considering buying a home you should keep in mind that, as Paul Harvey used to say, "there's a rest of the story"!
It's in your and your child's best interests to dig deeper than just these type of websites. Call or better yet, visit the school, talk with the principal, ask for a tour and perhaps a chance to speak with some of the teachers your child or children might have. Ask about any special programs available for your child's interests. Sports, drama, music, academics? Ask about busing and the availability of year-round and traditional programs.
Spend the time doing your due diligence on school placement beyond just checking "ratings"-you'll be sure of a good fit and a happy child (well, as happy as a kid can be going back to school!)

"It was by far the best experience we have ever had with a realtor. We spent 8 years, while working with different realtors, on our way to home ownership. Kim provided the best support, ethics, and care to help us find the house we considered home. She has become like part of the family. We just can't say enough good things about her! Thank you. PS- When we sell, we will be using Kim again!!"
